Police paid close attention to the Kapunda area last weekend, with many visitors flocking to the town for the rodeo.
On Sunday morning State Traffic Enforcement Unit officers and local patrols conducted driver testing in the Kapunda area.
The following offences were detected:
An 18-year-old Allendale North man with a probationary driver's licence was reported for driving at a dangerous speed when he was detected travelling at 162 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on the Thiele Hihgway, Kapunda. His vehicle was impounded for 28 days and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
A 22-year-old Andrews Farm man was reported for drink driving with a blood alcohol reading of 0.106. He was issued with a six month instant loss of licence and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
A 23-year-old Booborowie man was reported for drink driving with a blood alcohol reading of 0.088. He was issued with a six month instant loss of licence and his vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
A 25-year-old Munno Para West man was issued with an expiation notice totalling $863 for drink driving with a blood alcohol reading of 0.056.
A 20-year-old Reeves Plains man was issued an expiation notice totalling $863 for drink driving with a blood alcohol reading of 0.063.
A 47-year-old Moonta man was reported for driving with a disqualified licence.
A further five expiation notices were issued for other traffic offences and four defect notices were issued.
