Grain Producers SA (GPSA) is hosting a heavy vehicle safety workshop on the Eyre Peninsula next month as part of a long-term project funded by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
The "Roadworthy Heavy Vehicles… Made Easy!" workshop is aimed at helping primary producers better understand heavy vehicle roadworthiness requirements.
The free workshop at Cummins will combine theoretical and practical training to enhance road safety, compliance, and maintenance responsibilities.
GPSA CEO Brad Perry emphasized the importance of attending the heavy vehicle workshops for South Australian grain producers.
"Ensuring heavy vehicles are roadworthy is crucial for the safety of our roads and the productivity of grain producers,” he said.
“These workshops provide valuable, hands-on training that empowers producers to maintain their vehicles to the appropriate safety standards."
